Grierson Award runner up
05 November 2013
The film was screened on the 21st April earlier this year - what would have been Norman Parkinson's 100th birthday. It was very well received and we were thrilled when it was shortlisted for the prestigious Grierson Documentary Awards 2013 in the ‘Best Arts Documentary’ category. We got down to the final four but had some stiff competition and unfortunately lost out to the very deserving BBC ‘Imagine’ feature on Salman Rushdie and the Fatwa. Although we didn’t win, we were more than happy for the film to be featured in such illustrious company.
Excerpts and outtakes from the film can be viewed on our website here. The film has also been entered for other international documentary festivals. We’ll keep you posted.
