Norman Parkinson Archive

Bath in Fashion 2013

04 November 2013

The Norman Parkinson Archive was delighted to collaborate with Bath in Fashion 2013. This film captures a few of the highlights from this year's festival.

The Norman Parkinson exhibition 'Mouvements de Femmes' was curated by designer Roland Mouret and was staged in the beautiful Octagon at Milsom Place. Roland also came to Bath to open the exhibition and take part in a talk hosted by Grazia's Susannah Frankel. Unsurprisingly, the talk was a sell out and the exhibition (which included some beautiful images from a 1948 Norman Parkinson shoot for Vogue) was a hit.

It is particularly apt that this special, centenary exhibition was held in the The Octagon. In 1988 Norman Parkinson’s 75th birthday was celebrated here with a retrospective exhibition and a birthday lecture delivered by the man himself.

Find out more about the exhibition here.
